Cafe Chelsea
Cafe Chelsea is a new all-day French American bistro and brasserie located within the historic Hotel Chelsea; it is the hotel's first new restaurant since the opening of El Quijote in 1930. The restaurant features classic dishes, inspired by traditional French cuisine with a focus on exceptional ingredients. The space was designed to compliment the historic building, emanating a sense that it's always been part of the hotel. Works of art that have belonged to the property for decades hang throughout the space and traditional French accents have been incorporated. Cafe Chelsea is open all day for walk-ins and reservations featuring menus for breakfast, brunch, lunch, midday, dinner, and dessert.

βExcellent food. Excellent service. Brunch was very good. Loved my dessert. Clean restrooms. Enjoyed our visit. However, misplaced my gloves. I had to ask twice if someone would help me look for them. I would would have made this a five star experience. If you find my winter, women leather gloves, please let me knowβ

β2nd time back here and loved it again! Its warm, inviting, dimly lit and excellent food. We ended up spending 4 hours here over dinner and didnt even realize! For appetizers, we had the olive tapenade which was absolutely delicious! We also had the endive salad, panisse and croquettes, which were good, not great. For the main course, we had the ravioli and maitake mushroom dishes. Both were excellent, very flavorful. My husband said it's the best mushroom he's ever had!! And I cannot leave out the souffle, it was absolutely divine!! It was about a 20 mins wait and comes to the table nice and hot with fresh chocolate sauce poured on top table side. I recommend asking for a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. The portions are small so we were full after our multiple dishes but the entres alone would not have filled us up.β

βEverything we ordered was delicious! The croquettes, maitake mushroom, the steak, and the cocktail were all so good. Truly no complaints about the food. The atmosphere was a bit noisy, but still felt classy and lively. I was a little surprised by the presentation of the croquettes though. It felt underwhelming. I've seen other photos that looked different, so maybe it varies. We actually skipped dessert to go to Crumbl Cookies a block up, but I'd definitely come back to try their souffles next time.β
