βThis review is specifically for the Enrique Olvera tasting menu offered in early March. It consisted of crudites with guacamole, tortilla soup with lobster broth (delicious, this may have been my favorite dish), strip steak with black peppercorn sauce, radicchio salad with roquefort (another favorite), a mushroom side that included ants - gives it a crunchy taste I was told (I tried it but can't say I ate the whole thing), and finally the sweet corn tamal served with pixtle ice cream. The food was good - I can't say it was exceptional - especially at the price (with 2 cocktails and a bottle of water - $350 for one). What was exceptional is the service - warm, attentive, helpful - really welcoming. I will add this was after, for whatever reason, I was initially sat at the bar vs. at a table and offered zero service for over 30 minutes. I finally called over the manager and asked him why I was seated at the bar for the tasting menu. He was mortified and immediately sat me in the dining room and I was both very impressed and grateful for how beautifully the team recovered from an obvious snafu. Bottom line: Cuerno is a very beautiful midtown restaurant absolutely ideal for wining and dining business clients. For somebody who loves more intimate, cozy restaurants, it's a tad too corporate.β

βIf you are looking for an elevated taste of Northern Mexico, look no further, Cuerno is an absolute must-visit. Still processing the amazing service, atmosphere, and food that Cuerno provided. Amazing cocktails! Bartenders / Mixologists have a great knowledge of Mezcal and Tequila and make exquisite drinks. Started with Chicharron de Pulpo which was a unique flavorful take on octopus. Taco Taquero was a true highlight of the overall experience. It was prepared tableside with salt-charred skirt steak, and bone marrow that's acts like butter- its indulgent, interactive, and easily 10/10. Also had Ribeye, perfectly cooked in a salt crust, making it incredibly juicy packed with deep, smoky flavor. Coliflor Habanero, thecharcoal-roasted cauliflower with pistachio truffle habanero sauce was a superb side dish.β

βMy experience at Cuerno was top notch. We were quickly offered tasty welcome drinks and offered sparkling wine after entrees on the house. We had the best server in JP. The service given by our JP was some of the best I've experienced. He was extremely knowledgeable about the cuisine down to the ingredients, notes, and locations it's sourced from. The food was incredible. Some of the best food I've eaten. There were 5 different salsas served and the guacamole and chips were fresh. The ribeye con tuetano and the octopus appetizer were absolutely delicious. So tender and flavorful. They scooped the bone marrow on top of the ribeye and it brought the steak to another level! The cocktails were well crafted and explained perfectly by JP. The menu has detailed descriptions and celebrate Mexican cuisine in a way that's so enriching. This was everything I wanted in a dining experience and they delivered on all pillars of great service. Cuerno is now one of my favorite restaurants. Well done! Cuerno will become one of your favorites too!β
