βCOME HERE, do not overlook this place. We came here on a whim for lunch, and it immediately turned into the highlight of our whole afternoon. If I could rate it more than 5 stars, I would in a heartbeat. The owner Juan was so genuinely nice, we had a great conversation, and he really welcomed us with some fantastic food. Without a doubt, the best Mexican food I've had in WNY. We will be coming back very soon. Carnitas burrito was really tender and flavorful. Get the guacamole, it's fresh and absolutely worth it. Their salsas are flavorful and perfectly balanced. The chicken tinga flauta was juicy and savory. He also gave us a taste of their chocolate tres leches- if we weren't so full, we would've gotten a huge piece to go.β

βSit back and let them cook, because they are not playing games at Fonda! This was some of the most delicious Mexican food I've ever had, which was only rivaled by the kindness of their service. Every single thing is homemade, and as they say "made with amor," and you can TELL. The salsas were delicious, everything fried was perfectly crispy, and all the meats were super juicy and bursting with flavor! The chicken tinga flautas were insanely delicious. The birria tacos were mouthwatering, and the al pastor torta was to die for - one of the best I have ever had! We had refreshing agua frescas to drink and took a delicious chocolate tres leches cake home. This place is a must try and we can't wait to bring friends and family!β

βWe just moved from Texas. And have been sorely disappointed by Mexican food in NYC. But Fonda Hudson has QUICKLY and DELICIOUSLY changed our tune. The food is made fresh with love and care. The flavors, quality, quantity, service, and price are unbeatable! Truly have not had as tasty of a meal in a long time. We got 1- chicken fajitas- chicken was tender, juicy, flavorful without being overpowering. 2- chicken bowl - the corn, rice, beans, chicken, toppings were perfectly portioned. And even the corn was flavored. I could've eaten an entire bowl of it. Will need to try the Elote next time 3- chicken nachos - not on the menu but Juan (one of the owners) put it together for us anyway. The chips were made FRESH. No bagged or old/stale chips here. Unreal. Crispy and fresh. 4- tres leches - the best tres leches cake I have had... maybe ever. Soft, moist, spongy, not overly sweet. Pairs PERFECTLY with a tea or coffee. Next time - will have to get the mole enchiladas, as with how fresh everything else was, I just know the fresh mole sauce will be insane. We were so full and so satisfied, but not greasy, as can easily be the case with other restaurants. Will be back. And have already recommended this place to others!β
