Kyuramen - Upper West Side

“We had an amazing experience dining at Kyuramen, one of the best restaurants near Columbia University! I especially loved the booth seating, as it felt very enclosed and private, and elevated the overall experience. There was also a very unique menu item called the Yin and Yang bowl, which offers ramen with two different soups bases in one bowl. All of our bowls were delicious and although we did not win any freebies (by checking the bottom of the bowl), I think the chance to win with every bowl is a very fun and interactive element to have. Finally, we got a free dessert by posting the restaurant to our social media, which was a great perk. We had the choice between a matcha pudding or thai iced tea, and since we had drinks from HeyTea waiting on us, we went with the matcha pudding. The pudding had two layers: a jiggly, shiny layer on the bottom, and a thick, creamier layer on the top. We all enjoyed the thick layer more since it had more depth and flavour. The white sauce was like a heavy cream, with no flavour. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience dining here and if I went to CU, I would definitely be back often.”

The soup base is authentic in flavor, the ingredients are fresh and abundant, and the portion is generous enough for a boy to feel full after having one bowl. The atmosphere in the store is very warm and cozy. The owner and the staff are very enthusiastic and will proactively ask about your taste preferences.”

“The Thai-style milk tea in this store is truly amazing. The tea has a rich aroma without being overly sweet. Just one sip is enough to make you addicted. The tofu is extremely tender and has a delicate texture. Pairing it with ramen makes it even more refreshing. The overall experience is wonderful. I'm already looking forward to coming again next time.”
