“I've lived in Brooklyn for decades and only just heard of Maite through a feature in the Colombiana cookbook. My father is from Cali, Colombia and so I've had my fair share of empananadas and arepas, but nothing compares to chef Ella Schmidt's incredible creations! I've never had such crispy empanadas with such a thin and delectable shell. Looking forward to coming back and trying more things on the menu and chatting with the warm and knowledgeable wait staff.”
