“Made a trip to Astoria to check this place out. Was sold on the idea of oxtail philly. It didn't disappoint. Walked up on cold NY day. Place wasn't too busy, watching some regulars stroll in and out picking up to go orders. "Notable", means no tables. One outside table we took advantage of because we wanted to enjoy the hot oxtail philly and some empanadas. I think it was Nick one of the owners took our order, really nice and hospitable. Made to order and worth the trip out there. Tender oxtail and flavorful perfectly balanced with the right amount of cheese. The empanadas were delicious and would order more, outer shell not oily at all. Little crunch when you bite into it and flavorful filling, served hot!”

“We came down at lunch time to try their Oxtail Philly Cheese on Coco Bread. The place is clean and neat and the people at the counter were super sweet and friendly. The food is delicious, the oxtail was cooked beautifully and tasted savory with some real spice that was unexpected but definitely welcomed. The coco bread is soft and sweet while the cheese just adds a saltiness that carries through an already amazing sandwich. It's a bit pricey for the sandwiches but I felt it was worth it and didn't mind at all. I wish they weren't an hour away because I would come here daily. I'll most certainly be back for another round.”

“So I finally tried their staple sandwich, Jamaican Me Crazy, and it was excellent. Generous portion, even flavor thru the whole sandwich and the taste of sauce was unique. I got my on a hero and for the cost, two people can easily fill up with one hero sandwich . I would definitely go again and do recommend. Looking forward to trying the oxtail and jerk chicken platters.”
