βI had high hopes for Place des Fetes but I was pretty disappointed, especially for all the high reviews it received. For the price they're charging here, you either have to increase the portion size or really knock the customers socks off. Some of the dishes were comically small, I get this is tapas but come on. My favorite dish was the sardine toast but that's the only thing that was good. The pasta tasted like something you'd make at home and the cod was lukewarm, not appealing at all. The freshness of the ingredients was spot on, you can definitely taste the quality but it's the actual delivery that flopped. I do have to shout out to our waiter who was great and offered some solid suggestions. There are some great restaurants in Brooklyn, especially in this area but PDF is not one of them.β

βThe sardines toast was definitely the highlight for me! But the maitako mushroom with black garlic sauce & corn with eel bonito were delightful. Super cute place inside, very cozy and nice bar seating area. All the staffs were super helpful, attentive and sweet. Perfect date spot, light not too dim, portions are on the smaller end and pretty vibey.β

βSleek and bustling spot. The swordfish, the pasta and the daily special mushrooms were very memorable, although really everything was good. Great wine choices and solid service too. A strong recommend for a weekend outing for groups of 2-4.β
