Located on Amsterdam Avenue between 125th and 126th streets, Plowshares serves the finest coffee, roasted daily on our vintage Probat coffee roaster and prepared with intentionality and attention to detail. Plowshares features seating to comfortably accommodate 50 customers. Free WiFi, excellent food and pastry selections to accompany a first rate coffee program make Plowshares a destination for students, workers and neighbors looking for a respite in a busy neighborhood.

“I LOVE Plowshares. Truly my favorite cafe by Columbia. It is large and spacious with many places to sit and great drinks and food to keep you sustained. I have been going here for over three years, and it is my go to place. I really love their soups which are fresh and rotated. There was a period of maybe two months when I came twice a week to work. Not too loud not too busy but still dynamic. my ONLY! wish is that they would carry matcha, but they also have many other non-coffee options (hot tea, hot chocolate, chai latte)”
